Are you forced to cancel your holiday?
Cancelling a trip a few days before departure can be very expensive.

You’re paying for a holiday you won’t be able to enjoy; in fact, if you cancel at the last minute, you’ll lose the full cost of your holiday.

Because emergencies arise when you least expect them, assistance and insurance policies are in place to help you deal with these situations.

Going on holiday requires a few basic precautions before you set off.

 

Not taking out cancellation insurance is a false economy!
«But I already have a credit card...».

Only «premium» cards include insurance cover (cancellation, luggage, etc.).

These cards, whose cover varies from one bank to another, generally offer less comprehensive cover than standard cancellation insurance policies.

Taking out an insurance policy will allow you to effectively supplement the cover included with your card.

Meetch will reimburse you for any cancellation fees retained by Gîtes de France (up to a limit of €5,000 per person and €20,000 per event),

following the occurrence of a wide range of personal and professional life events.

There are two options available:

Meetch Multirisque Premium – Policy No. 10531

You can cancel your holiday for any reason; you do not need to provide proof.

Cost: 9.5% of the rental price and any extras

 

Meetch Multirisque Classique – Policy No. 10533 Situations covered by Meetch Multirisques holiday insurance (subject to proof):

 

- Serious illness, accident, death

- Serious damage to your main or second home

- Accident or breakdown of your means of transport

- Change to holiday dates by your employer

- Cancellation of a business trip

- Redundancy

- Suspension of building works

- Securing a job or a paid work placement

- Summons by a public body or government department

- Transport strike

- Job transfer

- Attack, riot, act of terrorism, pollution, epidemics

- Any other unforeseen event preventing departure or the carrying out of planned activities

 

Please note: insurance can only be taken out for a booking made with thebooking agency, either by telephone or email, or online (via the internet).

This insurance must be taken out at the time of booking.

1- Notify Gîtes de France Anjou
TheInsured Party must inform Gîtes de France Anjou in writing of their cancellation as soon as the event preventingby calling 02 41 88 50 44 or emailing resa@gites-de-france-anjou.com
Gîtes de France Anjou will acknowledge receipt and provide a statement of account to the insured party.

 

2- If you have taken out the ‘Meetch Multirisques’ (no. 10533) or ‘Meetch Multirisques Premium’ (no.10531). You may be reimbursed for these penalties, excluding the cost of the insurance

and booking fees, with no excess (except in the event of cancellation or late arrival due to Covid, in which case an excess of 30€ will be deducted).

Meetch will process the refund after reviewing your case.

 

Important: please complete the form sent to you by Meetch via email as soon as possible (within five days of receiving it).
