Welcome to the Gîte de Grand Vaux, a lovely place to stay just 10 minutes from Angers, ideal for a family holiday in the heart of Anjou. Completely renovated, this characterful house enjoys a peaceful setting and unobstructed views of the countryside, whilst being situated right next to Terra Botanica. It’s the perfect location to enjoy the many activities in Angers and the surrounding area, whilst retreating to the tranquillity of the countryside after a day of exploring.
As soon as you step inside, you’ll appreciate the natural light and the warm atmosphere of this house, designed for family holidays or get-togethers with loved ones. The large living area opens directly onto the terrace and the extensive 3-hectare grounds. The open-plan, fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals before gathering round the table or in the cosy lounge area. The harmonious and tasteful décor creates a welcoming atmosphere where you’ll soon feel right at home.
The holiday cottage can comfortably accommodate the whole family thanks to its three bedrooms. The first bedroom on the ground floor features a 160x200 cm bed and a single bed (80x200 cm), as well as an en-suite shower room with a toilet. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: the first has three 90x200 cm beds, whilst the second has a 160x200 cm double bed. There is a shower room upstairs and a separate toilet on the ground floor.
A utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer is also available for your use.
Outside, there is plenty of space for young and old alike to make the most of sunny days. The 3-hectare, unfenced plot offers a pleasant sense of freedom with its unobstructed views of the countryside. The grounds are therefore shared with the owners, but the terrace remains private. Children can enjoy the games provided whilst the adults get together for a game of pétanque, a barbecue or a game of table football.
In summer, the house remains comfortable even when temperatures rise, thanks to the reversible air conditioning upstairs and an air cooler on the ground floor, complemented by underfloor heating. The holiday home also has Wi-Fi and several parking spaces. For a truly relaxing holiday, the price includes bed linen, towels and a final clean. The only thing missing is a television: here, the focus is on spending time together, family games and the joy of making the most of your surroundings.
The location of the Gîte de Grand Vaux is ideal for exploring Angers and the Anjou region with the family. Just a few kilometres away, Terra Botanica awaits you for a day full of discoveries and fun. Angers city centre, situated about 10 km from the gîte, also makes it easy to enjoy the heritage and atmosphere of the capital of Anjou. Angers Castle, about 11 km away, is recognisable by its imposing fortifications and famous for housing the Tapestry of the Apocalypse.
Families can also enjoy the many natural and leisure areas in the surrounding area. The banks of the Maine, and the footpaths and cycle routes around Angers, are perfect for getting some fresh air between visits, whilst the landscapes of Anjou are ideal for walks and getaways in the heart of nature. For a change of pace, set off to explore the charming villages, castles and vineyards of Anjou, or head to the banks of the Loire for a day spent following the river’s course.

Avec mon mari Laurent, nous sommes tombés amoureux de l’Anjou et de ses belles demeures chargées d’histoire. Nous avons à cœur de redonner vie à notre magnifique propriété, en préservant le charme de ses vieilles pierres, son authenticité et surtout son âme.
Passionnée de décoration et de jardin, j’aime imaginer des espaces chaleureux, élégants et accueillants, tout en respectant l’histoire de la maison. Et s’il y a une chose que j’adore par-dessus tout, c’est chiner : partir à la recherche de petits trésors, de meubles et d’objets qui trouveront leur place dans la maison et lui apporteront encore un peu plus d’histoire et de personnalité.
