Welcome to Les Ponts-de-Cé, 15 minutes from the historic centre of Angers, in a new, bright and comfortable flat that can accommodate up to 6 guests. Situated in the heart of the town centre, right on the banks of the Loire and on the ‘La Loire à Vélo’ cycle route, the property offers a unique setting combining nature, the heritage of the Loire region and proximity to the city.
The main attraction of this holiday let near Angers is its magnificent view of the Loire from the terrace.
The flat has three bedrooms with double beds, one of which is on the ground floor and has its own en-suite shower room. Upstairs, the other two bedrooms share a shower room. The flat has a single toilet on the ground floor. The flat does not currently have a stair ramp (currently being installed).
The bright and airy living area combines the lounge, dining room and a fully fitted open-plan kitchen, featuring a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, induction hobs, a pod and filter coffee machine, oven and microwave… A washer-dryer is also available in the accommodation. After a day of exploring, settle down comfortably in the living room and make the most of the video projector with 4K TV to relax or look back at your photos and memories of the day.
Outside, you’ll find an enclosed terrace with garden furniture where you can enjoy summer evenings (no barbecue).
For families with a baby, a cot, a high chair and a baby bath are available.
There is also a piano in the living room, which can be used by those who know how to play it.
All services are included (beds are made on arrival, and linen and cleaning are provided. All you need to do is unpack your bags! And for your comfort, there are electric shutters in every room and fans for the warmer months.
This accommodation enjoys a prime location on the banks of the Loire. The Loire’s large sandbanks, the open-air café and the outdoor swimming pool at Les Ponts de Cé (open in July and August) are all within a 3-minute walk. There’s a supermarket 7 minutes’ drive away and shops less than 15 minutes’ walk away (bakery, butcher’s, bar-tobacconist, etc.)
Just 100 metres away, you can hire a kayak or book a boat trip to explore the Loire in a different way. The river also offers an ideal setting for spotting numerous species of birds, notably common terns, which nest on the sandbanks at Les Ponts-de-Cé.
Cycling enthusiasts will particularly appreciate the accommodation’s location, right on the ‘La Loire à Vélo’ and ‘Vélo Francette’ cycle routes. A bike rack is available on site to make parking easier.
Street parking is available directly in front of the gîte. A bus stop just 50 metres away provides easy access to Angers by public transport. From Angers railway station, the accommodation is about a 35-minute journey. By car, you’re about 3 minutes from the Mûrs-Érigné exit on the A87 motorway, making it easy to reach from Angers, Nantes, Paris or the Vendée.
From Les Ponts-de-Cé, you can easily explore Angers, the vineyards of Anjou and Saumur, the châteaux, the charming villages and the landscapes of the Loire.
About 200 metres’ walk away, along Quai Dupetit Thouars, you’ll find the open-air café and the bistronomic restaurant Les Trois Lieux. A tip from Jean-Marc, the owner: ask for a table with a panoramic view of the Loire, with the Church of Saint-Maurille in Les Ponts-de-Cé as a backdrop.
