In Beaufort-en-Vallée, between heritage and gourmet delights, come and stay in a charming gîte on the site of a former monastery, in the heart of a blackcurrant farm. The owners have carefully restored an authentic 19th-century tufa stone farmhouse to accommodate up to 6 people in a peaceful, leafy setting. Ideally situated between Angers and Saumur, this gîte opens the door to a region full of things to discover: La Flèche Zoo, the Doué-la-Fontaine Biopark, Espace Air Passion for aviation enthusiasts, the Château and Hôtel-Dieu of Baugé, as well as Fontevraud Abbey, the vineyards of Anjou, the troglodyte dwellings of the Saumur region and the UNESCO-listed banks of the Loire, accessible by bike or on foot. Just 8 minutes away, you can also take advantage of an aquatic centre with a wellness area open all year round, perfect for alternating between blackcurrant bubbles and spa bubbles.
On the ground floor, the gîte has a bright living room with fitted kitchen, dining room and cosy sitting area, a bedroom with double bed (140cm x 190cm), shower room and separate WC, both of which are private to the bedroom.
Upstairs, you will find two further bedrooms (one with a double bed 140cm X 190cm, the other with two single beds 90cm X 190cm), a second shower room and separate WC.
Outside, an old restored vineyard lodge awaits you for meals in the shade, with garden furniture and a barbecue to extend the summer evenings. Unenclosed grounds of 800 m² (including 600 m² of garden), private parking, Bultex 2021 mattresses, WiFi connection, baby equipment, gas heating, and even an almost monastic calm... except when the blackcurrants are singing. Ideal for nature, culture and gourmet holidays in Anjou.
