In the heart of the Anjou vineyards, 27 km from Angers and 20 minutes from the banks of the Loire in the commune of Rablay-sur-Layon (Bellevigne en Layon), you will be staying in this small self-catering cottage. This former 18th-century chapel, which the owners were keen to renovate with respect for the building and the environment, is nestled in a green setting. The emphasis is on natural materials: terracotta floor tiles and lime/hemp rendering. The roof frame is left exposed and the old tufa stone wall with its beautiful mouldings reflects the history of the place.
In the 20m² living room, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen: fridge with freezer, 5 ring gas hob, microwave, table-top oven, filter and Senseo coffee maker, raclette and crêpe party machine, a relaxation area with sofa bed (can accommodate two extra people on request) and a television with DVD player.
Go upstairs via the Japanese staircase (which is quite steep). The small bedroom (7m² at a height of 1m80 and 10.50m² on the floor) will allow you to admire the old roof structure. It has a 160cm bed and storage space. A window opens onto the heights of the living room, and a recently installed velux window offers a view of the hills.
Shower room with washbasin and wc on the ground floor.
Outside, the peaceful, unspoilt setting is perfect for relaxing. Take advantage of the 200m² private garden to enjoy your meals outside, relax on the sun loungers, etc. (Unenclosed area).
