Situated in the heart of the Arcison vineyards on a wine-growing estate, halfway between Angers and Saumur, this single-storey holiday rental is an ideal base for hiking, exploring the vineyards and discovering the surrounding troglodyte sites.
This fully restored former barn opens onto a large, bright living room with a dining area, a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen and a sitting area with television. There are three bedrooms (one with two 90cm single beds, the other two with 160cm double beds). The bathroom has a walk-in shower and separate WC. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
On sunny days, you can enjoy a terrace with garden furniture, pergola and barbecue, as well as sun loungers in the unoverlooked garden.
During a free tour of the surrounding area, in the heart of the Layon and Bonnezeaux hillsides, the owner will be delighted to share his knowledge of the region with you (discovery of the vineyards and the work of the vines, anecdotes about the history of the region, explanations of the different types of mills in Anjou, etc.) and to introduce you to boule de fort, the traditional sport of the Loire Valley. You'll also have the chance to taste the estate's different wines: Rosés de Loire, Cabernet d'Anjou, Bonnezeaux, Coteaux du layon...
Twenty kilometres away, you can discover the animals at the Doué-La-Fontaine Biopark and the 'Camifolia' plant garden in Chemillé-en-Anjou, billed as the capital of medicinal plants.
For a wine-tourism break with friends, motorhomes are also welcome on the estate.
