The town of Chalonnes-sur-Loire lies along the Loire between Angers and Nantes. This pied-à-terre is the ideal base for exploring the many tourist attractions in the surrounding area.
Completely refurbished in 2021, this holiday rental comprises a 19m² fully-equipped kitchen/diner opening onto the terrace overlooking the Loire and the terrace overlooking the garden, wc with washbasin, 21m² lounge with large flat-screen TV.
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms: one with a 160x200cm bed, the other with a 160x200cm bed and a 90x200cm bed. A bathroom with shower, vanity unit and toilet is shared between the two bedrooms. In this light-filled gîte, all the rooms, including the two bedrooms, benefit from two windows and a double aspect.
Depending on the time of day, you can choose your terrace: north-east to admire the Loire and enjoy the cool summer air, or south-west facing the garden to soak up the afternoon and evening sun.
Step down from the terrace and enjoy a fully enclosed private outdoor area with barbecue and garden furniture. On leaving the gîte, take the short staircase down to La Loire and the sandbanks.
Private parking for 2 to 3 vehicles. No wifi internet connection. Baby equipment available on site (high chair, folding bed and bath). The accommodation is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
[Don't forget your bikes and equipment: secure bike shelter, 15 km loop on the island starting from the gîte along the Loire! The Loire à Vélo cycle route is 1 km away. Chalonnes-sur-Loire is just 2km away, with its many shops and activities. Other nearby activities include: the Château de Serrant in St Georges sur Loire, cruises on the Loire and a waterside guinguette in Montjean sur Loire, the many vineyards of the Layon, and 30 minutes away, Angers offers a long list of museums, châteaux and parks to visit.
The level of the Loire rises and falls with the seasons, and the landscape changes. Floods can occur at different times of the year. The road remains accessible, but the garden and cellar may be flooded.
