Situated along the towpath of the Mayenne, Chenillé-Changé is renowned for protecting its heritage and environment. The former 16th-century Presbytery has been converted for a stay with family or friends. It is also an ideal base from which to discover the treasures of the Anjou region: walks or bike rides along the Mayenne, Le Refuge de l'Arche, which specialises in animal protection, 20 minutes away, Angers, its historic town centre with the Château des Ducs d'Anjou, Saint-Maurice Cathedral and Terra Botanica plant park 30 minutes away, La Flèche zoo 50 minutes away, Parc de l'Isle Briand 10 minutes away, or enjoy horse racing at the Lion d'Angers racecourse, also 10 minutes away. If you're a wine-lover, your stay will be the perfect opportunity to sample some of the region's many wine appellations!
The gîte comprises :
Ground floor: one bedroom with 2 bunk beds (90cm x 190cm).
Upstairs: a living room with lounge, kitchen area and dining room, a bedroom with a 160cm X 200cm bed, a bedroom with 2 90cm X 190cm beds, a small shower room with shower and separate WC. Outside, a magnificent enclosed garden with a view over the banks of the Mayenne! Barbecue, garden furniture and parasol for summer afternoons.
Children's play equipment is available in the immediate vicinity of the gîte (slide and spring set). Catering available in the village. Baby equipment available on request.
Additional charges: electricity above 8 kWh per day, heating (electric). SFR, Bouygues and Free have difficulty in reaching the telephone network.
