Welcome to Véronique and Jean-Jacques' gîte! This single-storey gîte in Distré, near Saumur, is the ideal base from which to discover the treasures of our region: walks along the Loire (by bike, on foot and even by boat), visits to the Loire châteaux, discovering the region's gastronomic and wine heritage... In short, there's plenty to keep you busy!
The gîte opens onto an air-conditioned living room with a kitchen (2-burner induction hob, fridge with storage space, dishwasher, microwave with grill function, thermomix, etc.), a dining area with a high table and stools, a bench that can be used as a trundle bed (two 80cm x 200cm beds) on request, and a separate WC.
The hallway leads to the master suite, comprising a bedroom with a double bed (160cm x 200cm). Adjoining the bedroom is a shower room with walk-in shower and vanity unit.
Outside, you can enjoy the sunshine of the Saumur region in total peace and quiet! Two garden lounges, a plancha and deckchairs are all at your disposal. If you like games, you won't be disappointed: molkky, pétanque (bowls), darts and board games will keep your afternoons lively. The outside areas are shared with the owners. You can also take advantage of the underground outdoor spa for €50 per stay. For your comfort and privacy, an awning can be drawn over the terrace to limit overlooking the owners' house adjoining the gîte.
Things to do nearby: Doué-en-Anjou Biopark 18 minutes away, Mystère des Faluns (underground scenographic walk) 14 minutes away, Saumur, its Loire château, historic town centre and famous black frame 10 minutes away, Brissac château (highest château on the Loire) 30 minutes away, Angers, its Château des Ducs d'Anjou and Saint-Maurice cathedral 50 minutes away. If you're a wine-lover, there are plenty of wine-growers in the area who will be delighted to open their doors to you and let you discover the local appellations (in moderation!).
For your comfort and cleanliness, the accommodation is fully steam-cleaned between each rental.
