Situated in a former farmhouse, this detached single-storey house is in the heart of the Loire Anjou Touraine Regional Nature Park, in the Saumur region, in the commune of Gennes, an ancient Gallo-Roman town.
Its location, on the edge of the Etang de Joreau nature reserve and on the Loire cycle route (300 m), means it is ideal for cycling and walking (the GR® 3: la Loire sauvage à pied crosses the commune), as well as fishing. What's more, the Loire is just 1km away. The village of Gennes and its shops are just 200m away.
From the house, there's an uninterrupted view over the whole of the Loire valley and the Madeleine dolmen, listed as a Historic Monument. There are many tourist attractions nearby, including châteaux, troglodyte caves, small towns full of character, museums, vineyards and various festivals throughout the year.
