In this village on the banks of the Loire, between Angers and Nantes, you will be charmed by this 3-storey old house, featuring noble materials (terracotta floor tiles, old parquet flooring, tufa stone characteristic of the Loire, etc.) and its 60 m² south-facing terrace overlooking the Loire.
On the ground floor, you'll find a living room with television and a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, dishwasher, induction hob, etc.) with direct access to the terrace. To keep warm in winter after long walks, you can use the wood-burning stove (wood not provided).
On each floor, you'll find two bedrooms sharing a bathroom with bath and WC: one with two 90cm beds and the other with a 160x200cm double bed. The bathrooms are adjacent to one of the bedrooms and do not have independent access. There is a separate toilet on the ground floor.
Outside, you'll enjoy a lovely terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers and parasol, the ideal place to relax and admire the Loire, which changes with the hours and the seasons. For your comfort and to lighten your luggage, beds are made on arrival and towels are provided. The owners, who are passionate about history and antiques, will be delighted to share the history of this village with you.
The gîte has no private parking, but you can park in the surrounding streets or in the free public car park 50m away.
On the historic border between Anjou and Brittany and a former trading port, the village offers a wide range of services (crêperie, pizzeria, bar and restaurants, etc.) and entertainment in season, as well as a beach on the other side of the Loire in summer. You can also walk or cycle along the Loire cycle route and discover the surrounding villages (Saint Florent le Vieil and its abbey church, Chalonnes sur Loire and its market, Ile Béhuard, etc.) or fish along the banks of the Loire. Looking for a city break? Angers is 30 minutes away (20 minutes by train), and if you prefer Nantes, its journey and its famous machines, you can get there in 50 minutes by car or 30 minutes by train, with the station just a 10-minute walk away.
