Set in 6,000m² of wooded parkland, this unusual gîte in Mauges-sur-Loire is an old mill that has been restored as tourist accommodation. Its ideal location will enable you to visit many of the region's tourist attractions: the Epinay mill is 12 km away, the Château de la Baronnière is 15 km away and the Château de la Turmelière is 22 km away. You can also visit the many picturesque villages on the banks of the Loire and enjoy the guinguettes along the river: Saint-Florent-le-Vieil is 7km away, Ingrandes 10km, Montjean-sur-Loire 12km and Chalonnes-sur-Loire 20km. This gîte is ideally situated for visiting Angers, its château, historic centre and Terra Botanica plant park, just 40 minutes away by car. Nantes, with its famous machines and its Château des Ducs de Bretagne, is an hour's drive away. Many activities are available in the vicinity of this former mill: boat trips along the Loire, hiking, cycling along the Loire à Vélo route, etc.
On the ground floor of this accommodation, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a living room with flat-screen TV. A wood-burning stove in the middle of the room provides a cosy atmosphere on cold winter evenings. A first bedroom with a 140cm x 190cm bed is accessible from the ground floor. There is also a shower room with heated towel rail and separate WC. From the living room, you can access a second bedroom on the mezzanine level, open onto the kitchen, with a 140cm x 190cm bed. From the living room, you can access the mill part of the accommodation. On the first floor (accessed via a steep staircase), you will find an open-plan bedroom with a 90cm x 190cm bed. On the second floor, there is a library corner with children's books. Finally, on the third floor, you'll have a breathtaking view of the wooded grounds and surrounding area.
Outside, there is a terrace with garden furniture and parasol, and an unenclosed garden. A high chair and cot are available. Wood for the stove is provided. Electricity and electric heating (over 8 kwh per day) are extra.
