Situated in the heart of the Lys valley between Cholet, Angers and Saumur, the little gîte of La Gaucherie aux Dames is in the commune of Montilliers in Maine et Loire.
Ideal for couples or families with children, this small, detached single-storey house is part of a complex that includes the owner's house and 2 other gîtes. The owners will be delighted to share with you the history of this former château turned farm, and their commitment to the social economy.
The gîte comprises a living room with dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen (gas hob, microwave, oven, etc.), a bathroom with shower and WC, a bedroom with double bed (140x190cm) and a sitting room with sofa and television, which doubles as a sleeping area with its two single beds (90x190cm).
During the summer months, you can make the most of the outdoor area with your own garden furniture and take a stroll around the property, where there are also chambres d'hôtes and another gîte, to admire the view over the Lys valley (a small river that flows into the Layon and then the Loire) and discover the sheep and horses in the surrounding meadows. The ruins and moat (not secured) of the former château are also part of the landscape, as is a hiking trail.
To bring up to 12 people together on the same site, see adverts H49G025549 and H49G021352.
