Welcome to La Gaucherie Aux Dames, in the rolling countryside of the Lys Valley, between Cholet and Saumur.
Set in peaceful, tranquil surroundings and surrounded by nature, the gîte is housed in a former convent that has been restored whilst preserving its beautiful stonework, beams and exposed timber framework.
From the small covered terrace, with its magnificent view of the countryside, you enter the 18m² living area, which features a small sitting room with a television, a dining area and a small fitted kitchen with a sink, two hotplates, a fridge, a mini-oven and a microwave.
On the ground floor is also the first bedroom (14m²), with two 90x190cm beds, and a separate en-suite shower room and toilet.
Upstairs is the second bedroom, measuring 9m², on a mezzanine level opening onto the living room, with a 140x190cm bed, a shower room with a shower, a vanity unit and a toilet.
Outside, make the most of the garden furniture and barbecue whilst enjoying the view at your leisure. A small pond, illuminated in the evening, adds to the idyllic atmosphere. The river below the gîte is the perfect spot to unwind. You can access it and even have a picnic there if you wish. Enjoy a holiday in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by horses, sheep and cows. Walking, mountain biking and horse-riding trails are located near the gîte.
In the surrounding area, discover the Bioparc de Doué-la-Fontaine, 20 minutes away, Saumur 40 minutes away, Angers 45 minutes away and the Puy du Fou 50 minutes away.
You can also visit Camifolia in Chemillé, the Parc Oriental in Maulévrier, the Musée des Métiers in Sevremoine, and of course the Anjou-Saumur vineyards and the Layon Valley.
The gîte is situated in a hamlet alongside the owners’ house, with a total of four holiday rentals and the farm (sheep, flower seed cultivation and strawberry growing). The same building also houses two guest rooms as well as the owners’ home.
