Just 20 minutes from Angers, in the heart of the Anjou region, this family-run gîte in Saint-Clément-de-la-Place welcomes you for a green holiday combining comfort, authenticity and nature. Housed in a restored former stable, it has retained all the character of the past: floor tiles, exposed beams and stone walls create a warm atmosphere, ideal for a family holiday or a peaceful getaway in the countryside.
With a floor area of 87 m², the holiday home features a lovely, convivial living room with a sitting area around the fireplace (sofas, armchairs, television) and two dining areas. The kitchen is fully equipped for independent living. From the living room, a few steps give direct access to the garden, perfect for indoor-outdoor living in fine weather.
Outside, more than 900 m² of wooded garden provide a real playground for young and old alike, with garden furniture, deckchairs and a barbecue, as well as plenty to keep the children occupied with a sandpit, net and badminton rackets... An ideal setting for a family holiday in Anjou, combining relaxation and outdoor activities. There is easy parking in front of the gîte, under the tall pine trees, in a gated area.
Upstairs, the landing leads to two comfortable bedrooms (one with a 180x200cm bed, the second with a 180x200cm bed and a 90x190cm bed), plus a shower room with bath, washbasin and WC. The gîte is ideally suited to stays with children: wooden cot and high chair are available. Beds are made up on arrival and towels and household linen are provided for a comfortable stay.
There are plenty of family activities nearby, including exploring Angers and its castle, a day at the Terra Botanica plant park, walks along the UNESCO-listed banks of the Loire, visits to the Anjou vineyards, or relaxing at Lac de Maine with swimming and water sports. The surrounding hiking trails and wildlife parks are the perfect complement to a family nature break.
Nearby amenities: village bakery and grocery shop just 250 metres away. The owners live nearby. A second independent gîte (reference H49G015102) is also available on site, with no facing building or communal space, and can accommodate up to 11 people. Please note: there is no Wi-Fi connection in the accommodation. End-of-stay cleaning optional (€60).
