The house dates back to 1870 and is located in the heart of a wine-growing hamlet in the charming village of Savennières, making it ideal for a romantic break for two in the heart of Anjou. The gîte comprises a 20m² living room on the ground floor, with a fully-equipped kitchen opening onto the living room. On the 1st floor, there is a bedroom with a 140x190 double bed, a library and a bathroom with bath, WC and washing machine. Adjoining the owners' house, the gîte has its own entrance and courtyard. An electric barbecue is available. Take some time during your stay to discover the island of Béhuard, 5km from the gîte. This UNESCO World Heritage site is the only town to be an island on the Loire. A small town full of character and charm, you can eat in the crêperie, have a drink in the guinguette, visit the little royal chapel or simply stroll around the island on foot. For lovers of fine Loire wines, come and discover Château des Vaults, just 5 minutes from the gîte. During a guided tour, take a stroll through the château grounds and vineyard, and taste the estate's different wines with their rare and surprising flavours. Fancy a short stroll? Take advantage of the 80km "Le Perche à la Loire" hiking trail, which crosses the region and passes through small villages, making it an ideal way to discover Anjou. The route passes just 200m from the gîte, so it's easy to make one or more stops in the course of a day.
