Garden with trees, garden furniture, lounges with armchairs, deckchairs and coffee table, barbecue, table tennis, petanque games, badminton net... In July and August, the swimming pool is entirely accessible privately, heated to 26°C (dimensions 8 x 4m, depth 1.80m), secured by barrier and gate. The pool is not accessible outside this period.
The grounds of the château also offer lovely walks in the woods, a small lake next to the château (unprotected - 100 m from the gîte) and lovely sunsets.
Nearby attractions include La Mine Bleue, an old slate mine 126 metres underground, less than 15 minutes away. Nearby are the galleries and artists' residences of Centrale 7. The 'Anjou sport Nature' site at La Jaille Yvon (18 min) offers paddleboats, canoes, kayaks, pedalos, swimming, accrobranche, paintball, archery, mini-boat hire, etc. Stroll through the pretty villages on the banks of the Mayenne, Chenillé-Changé, Daon, Grez-Neuville. Also worth seeing: Château de la Lorie 10 minutes away, Parc de l'Isle Briand 17 minutes away. Angers is 35 minutes away, with Terra Botanica, the Château d'Angers, the Musée des Beaux Arts, Lac de Maine, the old town, St Maurice Cathedral, etc.
