Welcome to Cottage de la Savonnerie! Situated just a stone's throw from the Doué-en-Anjou Biopark and the treasures of our region, ideal for a stay with your partner, family or friends, you'll enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Close to Saumur and Angers, this cosy little nest has its own private terrace for those lovely summer evenings. The cottage opens onto a living room with a dining area that doubles as a lounge, an open-plan kitchen with 4 gas rings, a fridge with freezer space and everything you need to prepare your meals (microwave, kettle, toaster, etc.). A connected TV is available (access to YouTube and Molotov TV, Netflix application available but you will need to have your own account). On either side of the cottage, two bedrooms are available: the first with a double bed (140cm x 200cm) and the second with two single beds (80cm x 190cm). Bathroom with shower and separate WC. The outside area is a delight for young and old alike! With its private terrace, you can take advantage of the mild spring and summer evenings to enjoy your meals outside or relax on the deckchairs in the garden. A gas griddle is available on request. The terrace is private and the garden is shared with the owners and tenants of the other accommodation on site. There are many sites to discover in the immediate vicinity: the Mystère des Faluns, a scenographic trail 10 minutes away, the Troglodyte and Sarcophagus site 10 minutes away, the town of Saumur, its black setting and its Loire château 30 minutes away, as well as Angers, its Terra Botanica plant park, its historic town centre and its Château des Ducs d'Anjou. If you're a keen walker, you'll be in heaven! There are many walks along the Loire and its "Loire à vélo" cycle route, as well as opportunities to explore the vineyards close to the gîte. The owner, Christina, will be delighted to show you around her handmade soap factory! 100% organic, handmade and biodegradable, you'll find body and hand soap as well as solid dishwashing soap in the accommodation.
