  • Bouchemaine / Angers : In the heart of Anjou, this section of the Loire à Vélo crosses Lac de Maine along a wooded path in the heart of nature on the banks of the Loire and reaches Angers, at the foot of its château. It's a journey characterised by the mildness of Angers. An alternative route is via Les Ponts-de-Cé to La Daguenière.
  • Angers / La Menitré : Crossing the slate quarries of Trélazé a former slate mining site where remarkable biodiversity has developed;This section of the Loire is sure to arouse your curiosity, as is the river Authion, with its ferry branch.
  • La Menitré / Saumur : On the left bank of the wild river, this étape offers remarkable panoramas of the banks of the Loire. It ends in Saumur, a remarkable town in the Loire Valley with its fairytale castle overlooking the Loire.
  • Saumur / Montsoreau : The final section of the Loire à Vélo en Anjou will take you over the vineyards of the Saumurois and majestic troglodytic sites, the result of the exploitation of tufa and falun quarries, notably à Souzay-Champigny and Turquant.
