The route finally leaves Maine-et-Loire and heads towards the Marais Poitevin. - Rural ambience and champêtre between Le Lion-d’Angers and d’Angers along the Mayenne river via the lower Angevine valleys.
- In Angers, you have two options: follow the Maine and turn east towards the Loire, or head for TréTrélazé. The two paths join at Daguenière to continue along the Loire.
- Between Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire and Saumur, again two options are possible : follow La Loire à Vélo on the left bank from Gennes to’à the Saumur ;or cross the bridge at Gennes and follow a variant of La Loire to Saumur.
- La Vélo Francette runs along the Thouet as far as Saumur en voie verte then follows farm tracks and minor roadsà through the vineyards and hillsides of the Saumur region.
- The cycle route finally leaves Anjou via the fortified town of Montreuil-Bellay, with its listed castle that is both a medieval fortress and a Renaissance castle.
